21 Year Old Young Chap Opens Hawker Stall in Taman Jurong selling Ke Ko Mian

Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre is definitely a makan spot for the far-westies! It is considerably remote but is home to more than just a handful of food gems. This area has so many amazing food stalls; from lor mee to BBQ stingrays stalls with snaking long queues, to delicious traditional peanut soup & desserts.

Cai Ji Ke Kou Mian

This new hawker stall in additional to the Taman Jurong family is run by a 21 year old chap, Parry, who just completed his NS. He told us that he is a avid noodle lover, and had been wanted to own a noodle stall since his poly days. It was during his NS that he took time during weekends & off days to R&D for his recipes.

On top of Ke Ko Mian, Parry told us that he specifically added two more noodles choices into his menu:

Dao Xiao Noodles & Mee Hoon Kueh

$4 (Non-Spicy) & $4.50 (Spicy)

Inside, you will find two of his handmade “holiao”: Minced Pork & Prawn Paste. Both ingredients are made from scratch everyday. Parry also claims that the noodles’ soupbase do not contains any MSG. He boils the soup with chicken bones & other ingredients daily at 5am before operations begin.

Ke Ko Mian T-shirt

The stall apparently also sells T-shirt to customers at $15/$17
