My favourite is the shiromaru, but I do like the karaka men as well. Superb broth, I was so glad delivery was available during the circuit breaker period, and that Ippudo even sells DIY ramen packs these days!
The party doesn’t stop here! This coming Saturday, 15 August 2020, IPPUDO celebrates its 10th Anniversary at their Mohamed Sultan store. For one day only, diners get to enjoy a FREE Tao Kuro Ramen with any ramen order when they follow IPPUDO on Facebook and Instagram, as well as a complimentary IPPUDO hand towel, while stocks last. I’ll give you 5minutes to digest these deals lol.
Ok then now I’ll let the photos do the talking.
Apart from our love for ramen, there was the new wagyu beef teppan rice, an eggy home-made cheese lava dish reminiscent of baked rice that we polished clean with the lovely girls from eatbook. Shoutout to Bridgette and Chiara whom I shared the table with. The rice had delicious sweetcorn, bell peppers, a good amount of cheese and super yummy marinated wagyu (and crispy ippudo noodles lol, it is not eemian ok! The Teppan dish is priced at $13.80 for a decent sized portion, for non beef eaters you can have the pork version for $12.80.
You will not regret trying this rice dish. It is worth the carbs and calories.
IPPUDO Raffles City exclusive dishes:
- Wagyu Beef Teppan Rice ($13.80)
- IPPUDO Spicy Chicken Wings ($8.80)
- Shaka Shaka Salted Egg Fries ($6.80)
- Homemade Pumpkin Salad ($5.80)
- Salmon Katsu ($4.50) and Veggie Buns ($4.50)
The fun part about the buns are that you get to add the sauces you like , pick from mayo, chilli and ippudo’s home made savoury sauce. I added all 3, I’m also a huge fan of their pork buns which has been a main stay for years.
The Raffles City outlet will have an extensive beverage menu offering over 20 types of sake, great for after office hours, or that lunch meeting. Expect Chiyomusubi sorah, a refreshing sparkling sake (that is pretty strong lol) but clean on the palette, As well as Dassai Junmai daiginjo 45 which is available by the glass for $10.85.
Fun fact. Ippudo’s signature red and white bowls are made from Arita porcelain, which dates back to the edo period and a 400 year history in porcelain making.
