Mister Wu $29+ Premium Dim Sum Buffet

About Mister Wu

Mister Wu at Pickering Street pays homage to Wu Jue Nong, the modern scholar and researcher who arguably established China as the birthplace of tea, and rescued various teas from destruction during the Cultural Revolution. The founders of Mister Wu hope to re-introduce Chinese tea to the modern Singaporean in an accessible way.

The Premium Dim Sum Buffet

They’ve recently introduced an ala carte dim sum buffet at a very affordable price.

Here’re some highlights for this dim sum buffet:

Hibiki Whiskey La Mian (max one serving)

Very potent broth here, even before adding the Hibiki whiskey. It is sweet and sharp due to lots of seafood and 酸菜 in it, and there’s some spiciness from the use of 野山椒 as well.

Abalone Siew Mai (max one serving)

An elevated version of the classic pork dumpling, topped with a plump abalone that’s bigger than the siew mai itself.

Truffle Carrot Cake

Pillowy soft radish cake tossed with fried egg, chives, and truffle oil.

And we sincerely thought, they are serving dim sum better than those served at some hotel’s dim sum buffet!

We’ve managed to find their full buffet menu from the internet (pardon for the poor image resolution).

Out of the 30 over items, 2 of which can be ordered only once. And they are the Hibiki Seafood Lamian & Abalone Siewmai. The rest could be ordered unlimited times!
