22 Years Old Glendon Tan Sold His Car To Start This Zichar Stall In Geylang

“I Sold My Car…”

The founder of Fu Ming Seafood is Mr Glendon Tan, who is only 22 is this year. This is Glendon’s first foray into the food & beverage business, but he’s always had a passion for food. In the beginning, it wasn’t even on the radar. He worked as a car salesman, as well as a grab driver. At that time, he had a friend who wanted to “let go” of his zichar stall at a very reasonable price. However money was an issue. So, he sold my car, cleared his accounts, and took the leap to start this food business.

JB/Malaysia Styled Food

JB has long been a popular choice among Singaporeans for a quick getaway as well as good food. Ask any Singaporean for recommendations on where to go and what to eat and you’re more than likely to get passionate endorsements of stalls and malls located all around the city. With all these in mind, Glendon wants to bring the “Malaysia flavor” to his zichar stall in Singapore.

What’s your final advice to our entrepreneur audience?

If you believe in it, go for it full force. My mentality is you could always go back to doing whatever you did before. And you can’t be afraid a failure. Whether it’s a small or big failure, it’s not going to define who you are.
